Ideal for sewage treatment plants, chemical plants and food processing facilities -- anywhere you need accurate samples of settled solids in noncaustic materials.
Specifications: Clear butyrate plastic tube with tape markings at 1' increments gives you an accurate and visual cross-section sample. Easy to use; just lower the sampler into the liquid. A float valve opens, allowing materials to flow in. When bottom of tank or drum is reached, pull up sampler to close valve and retain material. 3/4"-dia. plastic pipe with screw-type fittings. The Sludge Judge is available as a 5' section or three 5' sections (15' total). The 5'L Sludge Judge is a bottom setion only with a release valve. Add a 5'L Extension where additional length is needed. Sludge Judge II is made from 1 1/4" O.D. plastic tubing to double its capacity and make a rigid sampler when assembled. Holds 6 oz. per foot. Add or subtract sections as needed. Made up of three 5'L sections (top, extension, bottom) or as individual sections. Water-repellent canvas Carrier Bag, sold separately, fits both models. Use the Cleaning Rod to clean away greasy/oily residue from inside Sludge Judge. The 3/8" (93cm) solid aluminum, two-piece rod screws together to give you 6" (1.82m) of length. Slotted ends hold thick Cotton Cleaning Strips(sold separately) in place to slide up and down the tube using mild detergent and warm water.
